Taken a close look at the Andromeda Galaxy lately? How about creating a high resolution digital photograph of the Orion Nebula or tracking magnetic storms across our closest star, the Sun? The Horizons Observatory, located at The Pomfret School offers just such an opportunity to our elementary, middle school, and high school students, greatly enhancing their science education. It is a wonderful way for students to experience the best of Astronomy in Vermont.

In addition to serving students, the observatory’s docents provide free astronomy programs for the public at 7:30 p.m. on the first Saturday evening of each month throughout the year.
